The US Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) builds and maintains sustainable facilities, delivers utilities and services and provides Navy expeditionary combat force capabilities.
NAVFAC’s Command Information Officer (CIO) has developed an enterprise cybersecurity strategy with the following objectives:
1. Foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and cyber-savvy professionals across the enterprise
2. Implement industry best practices for designing, implementing and maintaining ICS and support infrastructure
3. Develop a consistent and iterative approach to identifying, assessing and managing cybersecurity risk to maintain availability, integrity and confidentiality of all systems.
The map and presentation system was used to continually monitor and reassess cyber readiness.
