In an effort to reduce the backlog of Veterans’ benefits claims, the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) continues to modernize claims processes and business systems.
Veterans Affairs' 56 Regional Offices reported weekly progress on their path to eliminate the claims backlog; however, the agency needed a better way to mine the data, looking for insights and further opportunities for improvement.
We developed an interactive dashboard designed to show the density of claims, age of claims and trending and threshold alerts visualized by each Regional Office.
The tool was used by agency executives to report on backlog progress to the President’s administration.
